Boosting engagement through different categories within a forum
Discussion forum categories
When adding a category to the forum, click on the “Create” button.
Details that are required are:
- Name: the name of the category.
- Description: the description of the category.
Once captured, click the “Submit” button to save the category.
Once the forum categories have been created, they will be displayed on the forum category main page, displaying the following details:
- Name: the name of the category.
- Created: the date on which the category was created.
- Posts: the posts that have been posted by users under this category.
- Created by: the full name of the person who created the category.
- Action dropdown: For each category, there are two options.
- Edit: You can update the category details.
- Forum posts: You can view the posts in that category.
