Two-factor authentication is an additional security layer that requires you to provide a second form of identification, such as a verification code or biometric data, to access your account, which is encouraged as it helps to reduce the risk of unauthorized access or account takeover and benefits you by providing an extra level of protection for sensitive information.
HOW DO I CONFIGURE THE AUTHENTICATION APP?
To configure the authenticator app, you have to follow the steps on the set-up authenticator page.
To use an authenticator app, go through the following steps:
- Download a two-factor authenticator app like Microsoft Authenticator for Android and iOS or Google Authenticator for Android and iOS.
- Scan the QR code or enter the key provided into your two-factor authenticator app. Spaces and casings do not matter.
- Once you have scanned the QR code or input the key above, your two-factor authentication app will provide you with a unique code. Enter the code in the confirmation box below, then click on the “Verify” button.
You can also reset your authenticator app by clicking on the “Reset authenticator app” button.
NOTE: If you reset your authenticator key, your authenticator app will not work until you reconfigure it
